The Annual Greek Festival in Denver


The annual Greek Festival, one of the largest ethnic festivals in Denver and the biggest annual event for the city's Greek Community, will be held June 22-24, 2007 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4610 East Alameda Avenue. [Directions.]

This year the festival will be run on the following days/times:

  Friday, June 22 - 11am to 11pm
  Saturday, June 23 - 11am to 11pm
  Sunday, June 24 - 11am to 8pm

Gate Admission $1
Children 12 and under and seniors over 65 FREE!

The Festival, a local tradition for some 35 years, celebrates Greek culture and heritage. The festival features Greek food, dancing and live music, as well as traditional Greek clothing, jewelry and crafts. Sample everything from gyros, lamb sandwiches, stuffed grape leaves, souvlaki, and home-made baklava. High quality Greek gift items, authentic Greek clothing and jewelry will also be for sale. And don't miss a chance to tour the stunning Cathedral!

The atmosphere of the event is enhanced by traditional Greek folk dancing and Greek music performed live throughout the festival. Opa!!!
